The City drenched in rain and darkness, illuminated by the hazy glow of street lights and shop signs
I finally (partially) started one of my projects that I've been wanting to do for a while: shooting black and white film at night. There's a certain kind of magic that I find shooting in these conditions. A kind of rawness and edge that is accentuated by the lack of color.
On a more personal level, shooting in these conditions is tough. It's generally dark so focusing is tough, if I even bother to focus at all. Getting exposure right is a whole other problem. I usually just guess; built-in light meter be damned! But I find the challenge refreshing and rewarding when I see the developed shots.
This is an on-going project of mine, so there will be more photos to come in the future!
